The father of missing 13-year-old Hailey Dunn was arrested yesterday morning after showing up late to a scheduled court appearance. Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs said by the time Clint Dunn had arrived, the judge had already issued a warrant for his arrest. Dunn had turned himself in in February on a warrant for violating his probation with the original charge of marijuana possession, driving with an expired license, and a unsafe backing. The marijuana arrest happened in January 2010 and Dunn was sentenced to six months probation. Yesterdays 8:30am court appointment was related to the marijuana and expired license charges. Dunn was held in the Mitchell County jail but later was bonded out. The bond was $2,500 for each of the two counts.
In addition to a handful of marijuana convictions in the past, Dunn was sentenced in 1994 to two years in prison and five years probation for burglary of a building. He was 17 years old at the time.
