Working the West Texas oil fields....

Clearing the way for a new Family Dollar.

The west lots between 4th and 5th Street on Hickory have now been cleared off, two houses and one beautification project will be replaced by the new Family Dollar store.

Todd Staples visits Colorado City!

Todd Staples, Commisioner of the Texas Department of Agriculture, paid a quick visit to Colorado City yesterday and met with some 30-35 community leaders at the Court House.

A farewell gift to David Myers!

For his above and beyond service, the Colorado City VFD presented David Myers with a token of their appreciation.  David served on the VFD for 35 years, and he and his wife Sharon are now retiring and moving to be closer to family.  We thank David for the many years he has served our community, and the many laughs along the way!

Relay for Life 2012!

It was another great year for Relay for Life!  They exceeded their initial goal of $15,000.00 and raised approximately $19,100.00 for the cure for cancer!
