Texas Ranger Joaquin Jackson comes to town...

Texas Ranger and film-star Joaquin Jackson talked about his career as a Texas Ranger while at Colorado Middle School recently.

Rankin Bullard welcomes everyone to the assembly at CMS.

Kyler Wood also spoke briefly at the assembly.

Taylor Griffith, a CMS student helped to welcome Texas Ranger Jackson to Colorado City.

Cheryl De Cordova, from State Representative Drew Darby's office was also on hand at the assembly.

DPS Trooper Rick Molina, Deputy Jimmy Browne, Joaquin Jackson, Traven Berrie, John Bivins and Robert McCumsey pose for a picture after the assembly.


Jackson was happy to sign his 2 books after the assembly.

A representative from State Senator Robert Duncan, along with Cheryl De Cordova from Drew Darby's office, enjoyed the program at CMS along with Heart of West Texas Museum President Jay McCollum.

Big Sales at the Loraine VFD Farm Equipment Sale!

Over 442,000.00 in gross sales was the reward for alot of work at the Annual Loraine VFD Farm Equipmemt Sale! Tractors, trucks, implements, tools and much more filled the Gin yard.



Happy Retirement to Chamber Manager Sue Lowrance...

A bittersweet farewell for Chamber Manager Sue Lowrance as she leaves Mitchell County and is moving to be near her kids and grandkids in her retirement. A Reception weas held Friday evening at the Civic Center with refreshments and lots of friends coming by to wish her the best and thank her for her many years of service.
Cheryl De Cordova, from Drew Darby's office, along with Mrs. Mac Morris came to wish Sue the best of luck in her retirement.

Kay McCarley came by the reception honoring Sue Lowrance.

Despite the cold termperatures..the Railhead Days must go on!

The show must go on, and the Railhead Trade Days are no different! Despite the cold temperatures, the doors were open and the shoppers came out to see what was new at the Chamber's popular event. Everything from dolls, to jewelry and more are on hand as the shopping event continues today!

Welcoming a new Superintendant to CISD!

Congratulations to Reggy Spencer, the new Superintendant for CISD! He is moving to Colorado City from Moran, and is welcomed here by School Board President Mike Ratliff.

Learning how to watch the Weather!

Over 50 folks attended the Weather Watchers meeting last night at the Civic Center..sponsored by the Colorado City Fire Department and the National Weather Bureau.
A good crowd turned out to learn more about the weather.
