Mike Ratliff shares some family history at the Lions Club

Mike Ratliff was the guest speaker at the Lions Club this past Friday, he has traced his family history in Mitchell County back to 1888. He brought pictures and other memorabilia at the meeting to share.




Main Street Clean and Green Day

The Main Street hosted a "Clean and Green" Day in downtown Colorado City to help spruce up the neighborhood!  A good turnout of local citizens worked hard Saturday morning, raking, picking up trash and hoeing weeds in the downtown area.

Colorado High honors area Veterans

The Colorado High school held a Veteran's Day program today, honoring all of our area veterans for their service. Not pictured are Steve Roark and Randy Myers.

Robbie Dewberry was the keynote speaker.

Joe Wright was honored for his service.

TDCJ Warden, Linda Gonzales, also received a plaque at the ceremony.

Rodney Green was also recognized for his military service.

The Annual Hunter's Appreciation Dinner

A great turn-out for the Hunter's Appreciation Dinner held this past Saturday at the Railhead building downtown! Beef and Chicken Fajitas were served by Gas N Grub in honor of the 25th anniversary of the event.

Happy Retirement to Ronnie Piezsch

We want to wish Ronnie Pietzsch a very happy retirement! Ronnie has worked for the USPS for 41 years and was honored with a reception this morning. He is pictured here with Peggy Gale, Dan Smith and Charles Goodlet.

Fullers always gets in the Halloween spirit!

Fuller Food employees held their annual Halloween costume contest yesterday as they prepared for our local trick-or-treaters to come by the store!
