Renewed interest in the case of missing Hailey Dunn.

With the remains being found in Big Spring, there is renewed attention on the case of missing Hailey Dunn.  Although the remains have been identified as male, there was much speculation that they were those of Hailey and this has brought much needed attention to her case.

Weather Watchers come to Colorado City!

A meeting was held last night by the U.S. Weather Bureau at the Civic Center.  About 30 people attended the Weather Watchers event, conducted by Meterologist Pat Vesper of the Midland Weather Bureau.

200 pounds of rattlesnakes!

Congratulations to Bill Stinson!  The veteran snake hunter took 3rd place in the Sweetwater Rattlesnake Roundup held this past weekend.  He caught over 200 pounds of rattlesnakes!

Chamber of Commerce holds Annual Banquet....

A good crowd was on hand for the Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet, held at the Civic Center this past Friday night.  Bama's House catered the meal and Ty Wood served as the emcee for the evening.  Spike Dykes, former Texas Tech Coach, was the guest speaker for the evening.  Highlights of the night included Charles Dunn being named "Citizen of the Year" and Dwayne and Cheryl Smith being honored as the "Farm Family of the Year" award.
