Search Continues for 13 year old Hailey Dunn....

Efforts are intensifying to find 13 year old Hailey Dunn of Colorado City.  Hailey was last seen on Monday December 27th around 1pm.  A $4,500.00 reward is being offered for the information that leads to the whereabouts and safe return of Hailey.  Also, a search party is underway, spearheaded by CMS Principal Mark Merrell, teacher Andra Maxwell and Counselor Christy Lloyd.  A prayer vigil is also planned for Sunday evening at 7:30 at CMS. 

School Administration Building gets a fresh look!

It's a whole new look for the school administration building on Hickory Street! With the trees removed, and a fresh coat of paint, the older building is looking brand new!

Missing Child Alert for Colorado City-Hailey Dunn 13 years old...

MISSING CHILD ALERT! Police are continuing to to search for 13-year-old Hailey Dunn, missing since Monday afternoon, December 27. Dunn was reported missing late Tuesday afternoon December 28, after she failed to return home from supposedly spending the night with a friend, according to Interim Police Chief John Bivins. Dunn was last seen at 1804 Chestnut, wearing navy blue sweat pants, a light colored T-shirt and pink and white shoes. Dunn is a white female, 5' 1" with hazel eyes and brown hair. She also has pierced ears. Anyone with any information about the whereabouts of Hailey Dunn should contact the CCPD 325-728-5294, 148 W. 3rd.

Blue Santa came to town Christmas Eve!

Thanks to the many donations from the community, the Colorado City Police Department was able to have another successful year with their Blue Santa program!

Christmas comes to the Community Mission!

It was a busy day for the Community Mission yesterday as Santa and his helpers came to help spread the Christmas cheer in Colorado City! Dot Smith, along with an army of volunteers and the Kiwannianes worked to get all the Christmas presents distributed to area kids.

Mitchell County Hospital Christmas Party!

Mitchell County Hospital recently held their Christmas party for employees and several awards were given out during the festivities!
This is Shelby Merket, LVN who received The 2010 Employee of The Year from Wallace & Ware Medical Units.


Vickie Pinkerton who is employed at Family Medical Associates as Admissions Clerk and received the Hospital District's 2010 Employee Of The Year. Vicki is pictured with her son Chad, who is employed in the hospital's maintenance department. Both are great employees.


Administrative Secretary Karen Holman was presented The Hospitality Award by the Holiday Party Committee for her excellent attitude.

The Annual Colorado City Volunteer Fire Department Christmas Party!

A great night at the Civic Center last night as those hard-working firefighters celebrated the Christmas season with their Annual party! The dinner was catered by Gas and Grub and featured a visit from Santa also! The big award of the night went to John Chaney, who was named the Fireman of the Year!

Busy Day at Mitchell County Hospital!

Busy day yesterday at the Hospital! The Ladies Auxilary held their Annual Christmas Open House and also a new logo was chosen at the Hospital Board meeting!
The new logo for the Hospital was designed by Toni Everett and was selected at the Hospital Board Meeting.

The Gift shop was busy during their Open House..lots of new gift items are available!
