A historic home is spared!

The historic home located at 4th and Chestnut has come off the city's demolition list, thanks to the hard work of Lupe Salazar and his family!  Lupe had bought the home from a Snyder couple, and then began making improvements, but not fast enough for the City.  They put the 107 year old structure on the hit list..it was originally the Winn house, but had sat unoccupied for the last 10-15 years.  Last night, at the Housing Standards meeting, City Code Enforcement officer David Hoover cited all of the work that has been done, and recommended the house be taken off the demolition list.  Congratulations to the Salazar family and thanks for working so hard to restore this historic home in Colorado City!
