From Loraine to Maryland for his brother....

From Loraine to Maryland and back in 60 hours, through deep snows and icy conditions! Derk Doyle was snowed in in Maryland, and his brother, Daniel, was determined to go and get him so he could be home for Christmas. It took 60 hours roundtrip but they made it back home. Derek and Daniel are the sons of Mike and JoAnna Gonzales and their grandparents are Robert and Judy Doyle.

Mark Merrell proud of his alma mater!

Here is Middle School Principal Mark Merrell, in his 1975-76 letter jacket from Abilene High, district basketball champs. He is now wearing that jacket honoring the 2009 State Football Champions, the Abilene Eagles!! Mark stopped by the station, bursting with pride, but still able to wear that letter jacket-way to go Eagles...Mark and all the other ex-Eagles, including Jim Baum, are very proud of the State Champs!

Meet Marshall Langley and his Bassett Hound....


Thanks to Cecil Walston for bringing out Marshall Langely, who along with his Bassett Hound, is biking across country to bring attention to Bassett Hound Rescue Centers and Suicide Prevention.

That's the one and only Shady Mitchell. He started the fundraising effort more than a year ago with his Opry programs at the Opera House.

A few of the Jazz Band members doubled as Waiters to help serve patrons of the Opera House.

Judy Honeycutt and City Manager Pete Kampfer came for a steak and a sneak peak at the newly renovated Opera House.

Also in attendance at the Opera House dinner was Bob and Geneva Ratliff!

A check for $1084.00 was presented by Hutchinson 5th graders to the Opera House's Royce Clay!

Warden and Mrs. Jason Heaton attended the event, the Opera Huose project couldn't have been done with the help of TDCJ!
