6 Month Prayer Vigil for Hailey Dunn......
An estimated crowd of 50 turned out Saturday evening for the Prayer Vigil marking 6 months since Hailey Dunn disappeared from Colorado City. The 13 year old middle school student was last seen on December 27th 2010. Drinks and hotdogs were provided by Holly Jenkins, and Monica Rodriguez provided candles with cups decorated with Hailey's picture. Pastor Monte Wike was on hand to lead the group in prayer.

A Tour of the old Col-Tex Refinery site.....
Members of the Citizen's Advisory Panel were shown years of clean up at the old refindery site...a tour for the vounteers was arranged and a first-hand look at the different areas were viewed.

ATT on the job at City National Bank!
The City National Bank, along with Rees and Rees Law Offices will be closed Tuesday, June 21st due to the replacement of utility lines. There will be no ATM services available in the Motorbank lane, but the ATM's at Fullers and Gas and Grub will be available. Both the bank and law offices will be open for business regular hours on Wednesday June 22nd.
This was the situation yesterday as reported by KVMC/KAUM.
What a difference a day makes..a utility truck with an extended arm now is in place to keep the pole from falling down.

Welcoming a new Police Chief!
A new Chief of Police has been hired and he was introduced at the recent City Council meeting. He is Roy Owens, and he and his wife Kathy live in San Angelo currently. Owens is a seasoned Policeman, with over 20 years experience.

Hailey's Bridge gets torn down..but not for long!
Tuesday afternoon we recieved reports of two men tearing down the teddy bears and signs at Hailey's Bridge, located in Dunn Texas. Yesterday morning, a large group of volunteers were out putting all the signs and bears back up as a show of support for the missing 13 year old.

C.C. Riders Car Show rides again!
Another great car show is now history for the C.C. Riders Car Club of Colorado City! The hot weater didn't keep any of the crowds away downtown, where lots of folks came out to the Railhead Building to see the classic cars.

Celebrating America's Treasures!
It was a good turnout and a good time for local families in downtown Colorado City last night....the Main Street presented "Celebrating America's Treasures" with a historic building scavenger hunt and family picnic! The night was capped off with a movie shown on the side of one of the buildings downtown.
Xavier Parham, 2 years old, enjoys a smore at the event...he is the son of Patricia Parham.
The Oakley family was on hand for the fun, shown in back is Virginia and Jason and their 2 daughters Caleigh and Cameron.
