Congratulations to Colorado City native Frank Mendoza!

We would like to send our congratulations to Colorado City native Frank Mendoza! He is being recognized by his employer, The Union Pacific Railroad, for 29 injury free years of employment! Quite a rare accomplishment for men who work for the Railroad. Union Pacific stresses safety as a top priority and the work can be dangerous. Frank works in the truck department and assists men who work on the tracks. Frank says he owes his perfect safety record to God, and Frank has wheat his employers call "an incredible attitude". Union Pacific doesn't know what they would do without emplyoyees like Frank Mendoza. He and his wife have been married for 43 years and they have 6 children and 11 grandchildren. Frank will be retiring from Union Pacific in November of 2011. But he will be listening for the sound of those diesels running up and down the tracks around Colorado City!
