The CCVFD Boar Goat Cook-off packs Ruddick Park

It was a full house out at Ruddick Park yesterday, as the Fire Department's Boar Goat Cook-off got into full-swing!  The star of the show may very well have been the new ladder truck!  55 cooking teams gave it their all in the competition, but it was Rudy "Chato" Arispe of Colorado City who took home the big money!  The $1500.00 prize money plus 3 belt buckles was compliments of Fuller Foods and Woods Boots.  Ty Johnson took second place, worth $750.00 from Higgenbothams, and third place went to The Devil Dogs, that was good for $300.00 and 4th place, Da Boys, took home $125.00,  5th place winners also took home $125.00

Mike Minkina and his camp, The Tasty Pig, won the classiest camp award!  1st place Dessert went to the Waltz Across Texas team, Cody Brown Cooking Team  won the best ribs and Mary's CafĂ© finished 2nd in the beans competition!
